BIO.    Madrid (1963). When a child is fascinated by the photography quality “to hold the time". It was then, when he discovered his passion for photography, focusing his lens toward the closer places, this is urban space, which will become the heart of his projects and works

After Geography and History, he decides to study photography and carry out workshops with some of well-known Photographers and Visual Artists and Master in Creation and Concept Photography in Madrid (EFTI) and Personal Vision in Photography in New York (ICP).

His works have been published on international media, print and digital. He has served as jury on photography contests as JäälProject. His works have been exhibited in PhotoEspaña2012, Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Center for the Arts of Alcorcón, Sala Retiro in Madrid, Museum Barjola and others. He has also participated in Art Fairs such as RAF, Estampa, JäälPhoto or ArtMadrid.

 

STATEMENT.   Individual, Culture, Identity in an urban setting and the City itself are my interests to start a project. The city has been and is my habitat and therefore best known space, observing and living its changes and evolution.

Great global cities are the largest population centers, these are not paradigm of economic, social or culture equality and not all the people have the same opportunitties for education, health, housing or food resources, however these cities are a magnet for people. They are a showcase of unitary and global society.

My works do not prentend to give answers about these cities or its inhabitants or about globalization we seem willing submited to. On the contrary, I would like my photographs  would open questions on these issues to viewers, maybe the same ones that moved me on to perform my works.

BIO.   Madrid (1963), Siendo niño queda fascinado por la cualidad que la fotografía le ofrecía, “detener el tiempo”. Fue entonces cuando descubrió su pasión por la fotografía, dirigiendo su objetivo hacia el entorno más cercano, el espacio urbano, que se convertirá en el centro de sus proyectos y trabajos.

Con formación en Geografía e Historia, decide estudiar fotografía, realizando talleres con diversos y reconocidos fotógrafos y artistas audiovisuales. Realiza Master en Fotografía Creativa y Conceptual en Madrid (EFTI) y Personal Vision in Photography en Nueva York (ICP).

Sus trabajos se han mostrado en diversos medios impresos y digitales internacionales. Ha formado parte de jurados fotográficos como JäälProject. Y sus obras se han expuesto en PhotoEspaña2012, Círculo de Bellas Artes en Madrid, Centro de las Artes de Alcorcón, Sala Retiro de Madrid y Museo Barjola entre otros. Igualmente ha participado en ferias de arte como RAF, ESTAMPA, JAAL o ARTMADRID.

 

MANIFIESTO.   Individuo, Cultura, Identidad en un ámbito urbano y la propia Ciudad son mis intereses para crear un proyecto. La ciudad ha sido y es mi hábitat y por tanto el espacio que mejor conozco, observando y viviendo sus cambios y evolución.

Las grandes ciudades globales son el mayor centro de población mundial, no son el paradigma de la igualdad económica, social o cultural; no todos los habitantes tienen acceso a los medios educativos, sanitarios, de vivienda o de alimentación y sin embargo son como un imán para las personas. Son escaparates de una sociedad unitaria y global.

Con mis trabajos no pretendo dar respuestas sobre estas ciudades y sus habitantes o sobre la globalización a la que voluntariamente parece que nos sometemos. Por el contrario, me gustaría que mis imágenes abrieran en el espectador preguntas sobre estos asuntos, quizá las mismas que me llevaron a realizar estos proyectos.
